Backblast: 23 and Me

Pax destined for Feats of Strength or the bootcamp workout in the gloom. Chipper was surprised to learn that handing out a beer is something we do now. It’s been a while, but we’re glad to have him back. If he collects enough stamps he can earn one, too.

After a stirring mission and disclaimer, someone mumbled –rudely, I might add– that the pax can modify if they’re sissies. With that, the pax moved to the Cat de Sac (no, not that Sac) for a

Warmarama:

  • SSH’s, 15 IC
  • Sun gods, SS, 15 IC, reverso
  • Abe Vigodas, 10 IC, 3 count per side
  • Mountain Climbers, 12 IC

With that, the FOS ‘fellas’ went to flex and bootcamp men began

The Thang

Ten stations with one exercise each provided the framework for the workout. The pax would choose one of the stations, and roll the provided die. If the pax rolled a 2, then the pax would exercise 2x of the exercise. If the pax rolled a 3, then they would move to the previous station and roll again. With enough 3’s, the pax could continue to run to the previous stations forever…. 1,4,5, and 6 simply resulted in 23 of the exercise (or 11.5 in the case of burpees). The exercises were located two per shelter and two per tennis court.

  • Burpees
  • Peter Parkers IC
  • Parker Peters IC
  • Asymmetrical squats, each leg, using the picnic tables (thanks, FloRida, for demonstrating)
  • Derkins
  • Dips IC
  • Step Ups, 23 per leg–Kay enjoyed these he returned twice, and doubled the amount twice, too! (and still outran YHC)
  • Monkey Humpers IC
  • Plerkins
  • Carolina Dry Docks

Time was called, and the papers were collected (Thanks, Pax!). YHC was a bit late after picking up a deuce left behind by one Ziggy.

Flounder led 6MOM and collected names–

Always a pleasure honor to lead. Hope you got enough!
