We gathered this morning at Fourth of July Park on a Labor Day Monday with eight strong where Checkbook led the group for Warmarama. We split up for Feats of Strength (led by Deliverance) and Red, White and Boom (led by Checkbook).
Feats of Strength was a Tabata-style workout (45 seconds of exercise with 15 seconds of rest). We did three rounds of three sets of three exercises. Each round was followed by a mosey around the skate park.
Round 1 exercises: Lunch Punch, Plank taps, Curls.
Round 2 exercises: Squat Press, Bench Press with leg raises, Side arm raises.
Round 3 exercises: Man Makers, Windshield wipers, Tricep extensions.
Although his preblast threatened the group with an hour-long workout, Checkbook modified and joined the Feats of Strength on the basketball court after 45 minutes and led us in Mary with …………. you guessed it, Ab Rolls!
PAX: Checkbook, Sac, Handy, Dr. Evil (and Ziggy), Duvet, Fortran, Gilmore, Deliverance.
Prayers/Announcements: Duvet with his upcoming move, Dr. Evil’s co-worker Sajan with surgery and cancer treatments, Chipper and his son Drew, Handy’s father-in-law with prostrate cancer, those suffering with COVID.
Gilmore led us out in prayer.
It was an honor to lead, Deliverance.
