Backblast: Pain in the Park Bus Benches 08/15/2020

6 PAX showed up to get a little beat down before any weekend festivities commenced: Tardy, Epstein, Hook’Em, Gilmore, Monet, and YHC.

YHC attempted no disclaimer, was mumblechattered about it, then dropped a nearly perfect disclaimer on the PAX – only mic drop moment of the morning.

Warm-o-rama:

  • SSH X 15 IC
  • Abe Vigodas
  • Seam Rippers
  • Chinooks

The Thang stated with a mosey to the Post Office. At each light pole, a Bobby Hurley was completed. There was some confusion on light poles if they didn’t have a light attached to them. YHC will modify his language to specify utility pole in the future to ensure correct instruction. At the post office, 10 Burpees OYO. Return trip to the Bus Benches, again, completing a Bobby Hurley at each pole.

At the benches we completed a step down of quantity of exercises that went something like:

  • 20 Dips, cross the parking lot to the tree, do 1 Burpee
  • 20 Irkins, cross the parking lot to the tree, do 1 Burpee
  • Complete this set 3 times

Next set:

  • 15 Lt Dan’s, 10 curls with coupons near Big Boy sit-up bar
  • 15 FloRida Squats, 10 curls with coupon near Big Boy sit-up bar
  • Complete this set 3 times

Next set:

  • 10 Step ups, each leg, karaoke to stop sign, mosey back
  • 10 Derkins, karaoke to stop sign, mosey back
  • 3X

Next set:

  • 5 Bulgarian squats on benches, lunge walk half of parking lot
  • 5 Diamond merkins at end of lunge walk, mosey back to benches
  • 3X

Time ran out before the grand finale. Next time. Plenty of movement, not a lot of mumble chatter, plenty of social distancing allotted for. Hope you got enough. One random musing, there are three of us now that have the French sound “et”, and we have now been appropriately named the French Quarter club – Monet, thank you for the name, Bidet, sorry you couldn’t join today but welcome to the club.

Prayers: Jay Twizdale‘s dad, Gilmore’s friend, passed away and is having services later today; Schools/Teachers/Students; Gun violence is picking up in Winston amongst juveniles

Gimore led us out

Always a pleasure to lead. Until next time, Duvet out!
