BackBlast Feats of Amazing Strength 6/22/20

YHC arrived early to set up for the Q in great anticipation of the workout with like minded men. Then, without warning, there was the “Oh my God!” moment. Praying that the basketball court bathroom was unlocked, YHC had to run (though a short distance) much earlier and faster than he wanted to. THE BATHROOM WAS UNLOCKED. The Day, the Q, the Week… started off well with thanks for an unlocked bathroom… 🙂

7 PAX arrived to find the workout and Q ready to go. Epstein,Checkbook, Fudd, Wheezy, Deliverance, Duvet, and YHC all participated in a seamless F3 Mission statement and Disclaimer. We were one PAX short, you know who you are, you were missed. We then participated in a required and forced mosey prior to the the WOR:

Side Straddle Hops, Frankensteins, SunGods, Seam Rippers, and Hillbillies.

The Feats of Strength Thang consisted of 8 stations…. 1 minute per station and 4 complete rounds. There was no rest between stations and only a 30 second rest between rounds. Each PAX rotated from one station to the next. The Q loves shoulder work and the Q gets what he wants 🙂

  1. Curls
  2. Goblet Squats
  3. Low Slow Flutters
  4. Dips
  5. Irkins
  6. Front Arm Extension
  7. Shoulder Press
  8. PAX choice of.. Merkins, Monkey Humpers, or Weighted Lunges

When YHC started the music to begin the workout, the first song as if picked by Dean himself was… Bruce, Baby We Were Born To Run!! Seriously not cool. Checkbook began running off the court on Que but quickly regained his composure and stayed with the FOS crew. Plus I think he ran several miles before this mornings Q so he was good. 🙂

YHC heard the constant encouragement that the female leader of the parking lot estrogen crew was giving her group and YHC tried to emulate but it didn’t seem genuine and up to the “over the top” standard she was setting. It was still a heart warming moment as the PAX came together in one like minded Feats of Strength community.

MARY: Homer & Marge or was it Marge & Homer?? Cindy Crawfords and Hammers.

Prayer concerns: Wheezy’s new house and move, hopefully the last for awhile. Prayed for a good start to the day and week and thankful for our F3 group.

Wheezy led us out and then 22’s.

Honor to lead and participate.
