Six loyal pax and one FNG showed up in the gloom to see what the morning would bring. YHC thought he might be the only one to post at this AO, but several showed including some from another AO. It really didn’t change the workout (much), but we started with a disclimer and circled for …
Pax: Handy, Cole (FNG), Epstein (still confused by the new Q schedule), Broadside, Checkbook, Hook ’em, and Dr. Evil (QIC)
- SSH’s, 25IC
- Sungods, SS, 20IC, Reverso
- Abe Vigodas, 10 IC
- Seam Rippers, 10 IC (no clapping)
Mosey to football field for The Thang…
So easy to understand…..At ten places around the field (corners, 25 yard line, 50 yard line, opposite 25 yard line), the pax would do the following:
- 20 Merkins
- 20 LBC’s
- 20 Squats
After the first station, one of the pax would substitute one of the exercises for 20 of their choice. Some of the choices were:
- Monkey humpers
- Diamond merkins
- Carolina Dry Docks
- Air Squats
- Mountain Climbers
- Ranger merkins….for the LBC’s so that pax could do types of merkins
- Burpees (no, really, from Broadside….)
The FNG offered “Russian Twists,” so Broadside restrained him while Hook ’em interrogated him enough to be satisfied he was not a Communist….
An hour of pure bliss, only interrupted by doing LBC’s in Chickweed (according to the Pax) that was like working out on a bed of nails…
Only later did YHC notice (with some help from the pax) that Handy might have been a bit too descriptive in “what to wear” to our FNG…
Return to parking lot for 6 MOM….
- 25 Low Slow Flutters
- 30 American Hammers
So, moving quickly from Twin for our new FNG, we listened a bit more…Married, kids, outdoorsy, works for Handy, from Concord….Was a Trojan in HS…..leave it….thanks to Checkbook for “Outlet”, for the outlet located in Concord. Nice first post, @Outlet, and welcome to F3!
Epstein led us out.
Thanks for the participation and exercise suggestions, I hope you all ‘got enough’…
