Backblast: Pain in the Park, Cafeteria-Style

Eleven Loyal Pax gathered in the gloom to get better on a very nice morning. “Nice morning” is defined by Kay shivering and Epstein complaining about the heat.

Pax: Wham-O, Boone’s Farm, Checkbook, Sludge, Kay, Tarde, Crawdaddy, Epstein, Elaine, Gilmore, and Dr. Evil (QIC) I don’t think Chipper was there, but it is hard to tell….

With only experienced paxers, we moseyed to the cul de sac for Warmarama.

Warmarama

  • SSH’s, 25IC
  • Pause for Tarde to post. Sometimes YHC forgets the origin of Tarde’s F3 name, but then there is a gentle reminder… Thankfully he was here to remind of Crawdaddy’s new Audi and his rise in status to a “1 percenter.”
  • Sungods, SS, 15 IC, reverso
  • Chinooks, 15 IC, reverso

The Thang

With the advantage of the street lamp, instructions were distributed and explained. Do what you want, in the order you want, to complete the total. The only ask is to not do the same exercise twice in a row. Each Pax was given a sheet and a writing instrument.

Mosey to the track area. In summary, the ask was the following, each exercise accomplished in four sets:

  • 60 pullups
  • 24 hill climbs, backwards up
  • 60 derkins on the hill
  • 12 laps (2 miles)
  • 60 Prisoner Get ups
  • 120 LBC’s, IC
  • 60 big boy situps
  • 24 rotations on steps

Time was called, and the Pax accomplished just what they were supposed to: as much as they could.

Well done by everyone, but YHC never did take the challenge of 1-armed Big Boy Situps issued by @sludge. Checkbook was steady, and Boone’s Farm and Gilmore were killing it….. Welcome back, Elaine, we have missed you in the gloom.

1MOM

  • American Hammers, 20 IC

Sludge led us.

Lead out there during this COVID mess. It is time for us to do the right thing.

Aye. Hope you got enough.
