QIC: Crawdaddy

10 Pax gathered in the gloom to see what all the fuss was about. With a week long delay in the inaugural running of the southern Cream Puff course, the QIC thought what’s another few minutes to wait… Rolling in from setting up the course to an already started warm-o-rama, the name calling and hurling of stones started in earnest. This would have affected the QIC if he had feelings.. he does not, so all good there.

Warm-o-rama:

Chinooks, Cotton pickers, Sun Gods, SSHops, and who knows what else.

The Thang:

Southern Cream Puff course (copyright pending).. Begin at start line at hut then stations as follows (all reps single count): 20 LBC’s, lunge to exit road turn, lower lot Suicides, 20 Split Jacks, 10 Merkins, 20 Step ups (10 each leg), 20 Monkey Humpers, 10 Pull ups, 10 Burpees, run down, then up stairs, across the finish.


Course was run against the clock and QIC warned against going out too strong.

Both rounds, Kryptonite led the pack setting a blistering pace and came home with the official course record of 7:17*..

Other memorable moments included Crankbait realizing he hates running (which he does every day that ends in Y), Chipper not saying an actual word the entire Q. Boone’s Farm in a solid hunt for the podium both rounds with Duvet on his heals.

Tarde getting a gold star for most time dropped between rounds with an impressive 2nd go.. Those Walken motivational tapes are paying off.

QIC was pathetic trying to knock out his 10 pull ups even with his inner voices egging him on.. I shaved when I got home..

There was a mild log jam as Epstein tried to get around Lucky Charms on the stairs to cross the line.

And most awkward Oscar goes to Dean who threw himself a rather over the top “5th place party” seeing he had dropped 20 seconds between rounds. Nice job buddy.. don’t let anyone ever tell you that 5th place is the 4th loser…

Crew then completed a victory lap “amoeba style” then downhill for mary.

Marge and Homer (including Burns and flutter homer), Cindy Crawfords, Crunchy Frogs and American Hammers

Prayers: April, Alexis and Brad, Crankbait’s Mom (Wilma), Praise for Tarde turning reigns of Boy Scout Troop to Man Hands, Thin Mint who sees the doctor today.

Crankbait led us out.

*Kryptonite’s course record was only verified by the Russian and East German judges who are under investigation by the F3 ethics committee.
