2018-03-19 “Flowers and Cake” for a Stolen Backblast

As soon as Tardy said “Flowers and Cake” if someone writes the backblast for me…I knew it was my time to steal the backblast…stealing the Q is so 2017…2018 is the year of stealing backblasts…and getting flowers and cake on top of that…#winning…so this backblast is written as if I was Tarde in First person…we begin…

Just to keep the PAX on their toes, I signed up late on the Q sheet and submitted my preblast at 5:25am for a 5:30am start….the other PAX, began asking “Who’s got the Q”, given most of the PAX apparently expect a preblast before going to bed…tough group…but we started with a quick mosey to the road with a short stop for the pledge of allegiance…I asked Thin Mint to lead us in this for two reasons:

  1. To See if he knew it.
  2. I Forgot it.

(As a quick aside, I think that Lucky Charms is a bit scared of fellow PAX “Red Hot”…the name “red hot” takes him back to the early days of the cold war, when Lucky Charms was in his late 70s…)

Then we moseyed to the road and much to the PAX surprise we went straight instead of right…yes, to the neighborhood…Here is a picture of the PAX that we had…

And here is the type of PAX I wanted…

We stopped at the middle of an intersection so that we could be hit from cars in two directions…and I made sure we were in earshot of at least (4) houses…and then began the warmarama

And crawdaddy pointed out what the likely 911 call would be when we woke the neighborhood…more on that later

Since i was so late in signing up for the Q, I was doing complete improv, much like every Sludge Q ever.  We started with 25x Side Straddle Hops (Dr. Evil pointed out how our the PAX form and cadence was amazing…)

But I also wanted to share the liability, so I had help.  It started with Thin Mint leading us in Abe Vigodas…but it looked more like this…Gilmore is still flustered…

We then did some Mountain climbers led by Spicoli…For some reason his cadence voice reminded me of this:

First Baseball Game Ever

6:41

I believe Fanny Pack also led us in some exercise…but since I made this up as I went, i can’t remember everything…

We then did a mosey through the neighborhood with a burpee at each mailbox…One of the PAX asked if we had to include both sides of the road…YHC had to refrain from smacking said PAX…Sugar Ray Kay led the way

We then moseyed to the end of the next street doing a non-traditional travel method…Dean led the way skipping like a school girl while other PAX did more challenging travel methods.

Then we moseyed across the street to the school…during this time I figured out what we would do next…but I drew a blank on coming up with (3) exercises so I made the rest of the PAX do it…They ended up being Merkins, LBCs, and Exploding Lt. Dans…we did 1x,2x,3x, run around the hedges, then 4x, 5x,6x, and so on up to 12x…This didn’t take nearly as long as I thought it would or hoped…We did it in record time, much like this guy at the hedges…

It should also be noted at this time that Checkbook disappeared. Fortran informed me that he had to go pick up his kids…but I know the real reason…he hates improv Qs…that and he is still upset that the name “Kickback” is acceptable, but “Mulligan” wasn’t…Thanks FloRida…

We then moseyed to the bus parking benches…I had no idea what to do, so I plagiarized my Q from last week and did volcano again…The pax more or less are symbolized below…

We then moseyed to the track, which is where I got really creative…10x Pull-up and one lap around the track.

After that, we moseyed to the bus parking area for get this…(2) bobby hurley’s at every other line.  It was a risk doing every other line, but the PAX somehow understood and did it well!

Then we moseyed to Far Side’s “Tennis Courts” for Mary’s…it was at this time we saw (2) police cars flying down the street…no doubt responding to calls of strange people running through their neighborhood moments earlier…

Again, delegating the Q to shed liability we had several PAX help with:

Box Cutters (Thin Mint…Dean’s form terrible)

Low Slow Flutter (Spicoli)

Crunchy Frog (Fanny Pack?…Dean’s form terrible)

American Hammer (Tramp Stamp)…
